손영래 중앙사고수습본부 사회전략반장은 29일 오전 정례브리핑에서 “이제부터는 생활치료센터와 요양병원의 경증·중등증 병자에 대해서도 항체치료제를 투여하기 위해 제공손님을 확대된다”고 밝혀졌습니다. 단계적 일상회복을 시작한 직후 확진자 수가 급증한 가운데 위중증 환자 숫자도 크게 불어난 데 따른 조치다. 경증·중등증 환자를 적극적으로 치유해, 중증환자로 악화되지 않도록 사전 준비있다는 취지다.
우리아이들병원은 최초에는 재택처방을 할 확진자를 80명 정도 예상하고 인력과 장비를 준비했는데 현재는 하루에 관리하는 확진자가 111명으로 많아진 상태이다. 이중 절반 강도가 소아확진자이고 나머지는 보호자 및 성인 확진자이다. 재택처치는 전화 및 화상을 통해 하루에 6회 이상 모니터링을 하고 있으며 환자의 건강상태, 체온과 산소포화도를 확인해 증상 악화 여부를 확인하고 응급상황이 생성하면 보건소로 연락해 응급출동을 되도록 하고 있을 것이다.
이 프로젝트의 총괄 책임자인 서울대병원 이동연 국제산업본부장은 '1910년대 후반 미국 미네소타 프로젝트로 우리나라 의료가 눈부시게 발전한 것처럼 대한민국도 2020년부터 이종욱-인천 프로젝트를 통해 저개발 국가에 의료테크닉을 전수하는 산업을 꾸준히 진행해오고 있다'며 'UHS 병원 건립 컨설팅도 그 일환의 하나로서 라오스 최초의 국립대병원 건립이라는 공공성과 상징성 측면에서 뜻이 크다'고 설명했었다.
